Principal
Mrs. Pilkington is delighted at the opportunity to be the Principal of Wasatch Peak Academy. She believes that there is no nobler calling than influencing the lives of others through education, and is passionate about creating engaging learning environments where all students can grow into lifelong learners. Mrs. Pilkington loves the service-learning approach and the role that it plays in creating students who are capable of making the world around them a better place.
Mrs. Pilkington is a committed lifelong learner and avid devourer of books—learning new things and curiosity about the world around her is something that she feels very passionate about. Mrs. Pilkington earned a dual bachelor’s in English and history teaching from Utah State University and later went on to earn her master’s in education leadership and administration. As any true lifelong learner, she is eagerly looking forward to the time when she can go back to school and earn my doctorate.
Mrs. Pilkington has been working with youth for more than 20 years and taught in the classroom for 7 years before becoming an administrator. She adores being a part of the Wasatch Peak Community. Our teachers, staff, students, and parents are some of the best that she has had the privilege to work with.
Assistant Principal
Mrs. Ebeling loves being a part of the Wasatch Peak Academy community! Mrs. Ebeling earned a B.A. in English from Brigham Young University, and then completed an M.Ed. in Teaching Secondary English at Marymount University and another M.Ed. in School Leadership and Administration at the University of Utah. She also has a graduate certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from George Mason University.
Mrs. Ebeling knew she wanted to work in education while studying and volunteering abroad, and she is grateful for the opportunities she's had to work, study, travel, and learn. Mrs. Ebeling is passionate about learning and teaching, and she works hard to create safe and equitable learning environments and communities where students and teachers can learn and thrive.
Assistant Principal
Natalie Newman earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in music from Brigham Young University. She also holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University. Ms. Newman taught for 10 years in public, private, and charter schools ranging from fourth grade to eighth grade across all core subjects—she has a deep love and appreciation for education and all it can offer students. Ms. Newman is thrilled to be at Wasatch Peak Academy! In her free time, Ms. Newman loves to travel, hike, learn new skills, and spend time with her husband and twenty-three nieces and nephews.
Office Manager
Julie Nelson loves every minute of working in the office and greeting everyone as they come in the door. Her main goal is to make everyone feel welcome and to make a safe place for students in their home away from home. Julie Nelson is a mother of 4 children. Three older children and one 20 years younger than the rest! Her youngest is a student at WPA! She is excited to be a part of the WPA family! She loves college football and so there is no surprise that fall is her favorite season!
Secretary
MaryAnn first fell in love with WPA when her children started attending the school in 2012. She spent years volunteering, then spent a few years as a TA and a substitute. She is now in her 3rd year working in the front office and is so happy there. She loves getting to know all of the students and their parents. Outside of school, MaryAnn loves spending time with her husband and 4 children, 3 of whom are adults now and don't live at home.
Counselor
Ms. Sidnie is so proud to be the School Social Worker at Wasatch Peak Academy and earned her Master's Degree, (CSW) from the University of Utah. Her passion is working in education and having an amazing job where each day she helps make a difference in advocating and empowering students by supporting their social, emotional, academic and personal uniqueness.
Her commitment is to help provide a SAFE, positive and compassionate school culture at WPA by recognizing and celebrating each student's potential, creativity and diversity. Seeing our students become passionate, productive, resilient and KIND humans in the world is always inspiring! And helping equip them each year by gaining the essential skills and confidence to continue to strive for their personal best, no matter what their abilities may be, is essential to become successful, lifelong learners.
In her free time, you can find Ms. Sidnie crafting, thrifting, enjoying cuddles with her cat, rocking out to country music and having fun with family and friends.
