Jordan Sim

Reading Specialist

I started at W.P.A. in 2016. It's a great school with an amazing service to community and wanting every student to grow.

I was born and raised in Utah, growing up in West Jordan. In 2014 I graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in history and a second in foreign policy. I greatly enjoy being an educator and seeing students grow beyond expectations. Before pivoting toward a teaching career I served six years in the Marine Corps as an infantryman and worked in a pathology research lab at the University of Utah.

I decided to join Wasatch Peak Academy and begin teaching after enjoying the work I had done volunteer teaching English to refugees from multiple countries. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, cooking, learning woodworking, and sailing. I am excited to be the literacy specialist and work with new personalities, watching them complete challenges, and excel in their reading skills. My ultimate goal is to set them up with reading habits that will last a lifetime.
