"My name is I'm Emily Wilmore, and I'm passionate about literature and literacy. My academic journey began at Utah State University, where I pursued a major in English alongside a minor in Music. Following my undergraduate studies, I ventured to Beijing, China, teaching English in a language immersion school for approximately two years.
Upon my return, I continued my education, earning a Master's degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Reading and Literacy Interventions.
Outside of the classroom, you'll find me immersed in books or enjoying a game of ultimate frisbee with my husband and our friends. We recently became homeowners and are in the process of adding personal touches, such as painting the walls and establishing a garden—tasks that are currently on our to-do list.
In my role as an educator, I get immense satisfaction from helping students discover their passions and fostering excitement about their potential and goals. This is my first year teaching in a classroom setting and I'm excited about moving forward, continually finding new ways to connect and assist my students."
