Luisa Montalvo

I was born in Guatemala and at the age of five years old, my family relocated to Southern California. I moved to Utah in 2006. I am married, I have two teenage boys and two dogs that keep me really busy. In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping, and watching movies. I speak fluent Spanish and I absolutely LOVE to dance! Before I joined Wasatch Peak Academy, I ran a daycare for 8 years. In 2015, I decided to become part of the Wasatch Peak Academy team as a part-time teacher’s assistant and Spanish teacher. Working at WPA, I realized how much I enjoyed working with children. Helping them succeed, in any way possible, soon became one of my daily goals. In 2017, I decided to go back to school and work towards earning my teaching license. I have truly enjoyed teaching Spanish and sharing my culture with our wonderful students and I am extremely excited for the opportunity to teach our amazing sixth graders!
