Julie Stoddard

Music Teacher

Hello WPA family! This is my first year teaching at Wasatch Peak, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring music class back to our school. My goal this year is to ensure our students develop a love for music by learning memorial songs and beginning instruments. We will have a wonderful time engaging in hands-on repertoire from singing folk songs to composing our own tunes. We will also focus on basic notation, historical composers and have multiple chances throughout the year to perform in music reviews. Music Education is vital to a well-rounded learning experience, not to mention the best part of the week! I have been a private music instructor for over 15 years, teaching voice, piano and musical theater classes. I perform regularly at local theaters, and I am involved in other community musical endeavors. I received my degree from BYU in communications, with minors in music and German. I am a pianist and vocal performer, but I also dabble in guitar, ukulele, violin, percussion, and more. I sing all the time, even when I'm traveling, hiking, or chilling with my husband, four children, two dogs, and one rabbit.
