We are excited to introduce you to radKiDS - A comprehensive Personal Empowerment Safety Education Program. The purpose is to provide education that enhances the ability of children and parents to utilize knowledge, skills, and power to protect themselves from violence and harm. RadKiDS, designed for children five through 11 years of age, is based on accelerated learning theory and realistic physical resistance options to escape violence.

Through radKIDS® training, children become empowered and learn to replace the fear, confusion, and panic or dangerous situations with confidence, personal safety skills, and self-esteem. The RAD in radKiDS stands for “Resisting Agression Defensively.” RadKIDS® strengthens family, encourages physical fitness, and teaches core safety values to live by through its program. Fun, activity-based programs include lecture, safety drills, muscle memory exercises and dynamic simulation. 125,000 children have been trained in the radKIDS® personal Empowerment Safety education program.

This educational program includes information and activities based on building confidence and self-esteem in the children so they truly gain the knowledge and confidence to make positive choices in their own safety. In addition, the program is presented, whenever possible with parental participation, so a true partnership can be established between the child and their trusted grown up. All parents receive a Parent/Student Manual so they can actively participate in their children's safety.

radKIDS® Curriculum topics include:

Home, School and Vehicle Safety

Out and About Safety

Realistic Defense Against Abduction

Good-Bad-Uncomfortable Touch and more

Stranger Tricks (including Physical Defense against Abduction)

Self-realization of personal power

"The day that Elizabeth came home was such a wonderful day for us. But I felt so strongly for all the parents out there that do not have the ending we have. And I think if there's a way of helping to prevent that situation, then you should do it. I really feel that radKIDS® can make a difference." --Ed Smart on the CBS Early Show, February 22, 2005
