Karl Van Sycle

Karl was born in Montana but grew up in Texas. After graduating from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, he taught sixth grade science and math at the intermediate school where he completed his student teaching. While there, he was also the sixth grade science department chairperson.

Karl then moved to Jackson, Wyoming and taught for three years at a residential treatment center for adjudicated youth. In 2004, he joined the faculty of a private school in Jackson, teaching social science to grades six through eight and seventh grade math.

Karl moved to Utah in April, 2008. His hobbies and interests include horticulture, ikebana, fly fishing, fly tying, computers, aikido, anthropology, bicycling and current events.
