Angela Rooney
Hi! My name is Angela Rooney. I am so excited to be a part of the Wasatch Peak Academy family! I’ve been teaching at WPA since 2006 and will have both of my own children attend WPA this school year!
I grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa. After graduating high school I joined the U. S. Air Force. My first duty station was near Phoenix, AZ where I met my husband who is also active duty Air Force.
I received my Bachelor of Science while living near Phoenix. I deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. We were reassigned to Hill AFB a couple years later, and in 2006, I transitioned from active duty to an Air Force reservist.
I received my Master of Arts degree in Education/Curriculum and Instruction and will complete my Master of Arts degree in Education/Administration and Supervision in the spring of 2012.
I feel as though I have the best of both worlds; inspiring young minds and serving my country.
My husband and I reside in Layton with our two children, Jacob and Jessilyn. I love to spend time with my family, explore new places, camp, and read. I am very excited to begin a new school year and meet all of you!
